Title: Active USB to PS/2 Adapters
Post by: apastuszak on Fri, 25 January 2019, 21:08:44
As an experiment, I attempted to hook my 1989 Model M to my new iPad.  I had used a USB-C to USB-A adapter and gotten my CM Storm to work with the iPad without issue.  But the Model M does not.

On the Model M, I have the original Unicomp coiled cable with an active PS/2 to USB adapter that works fine on my PC.

The adapter looks like this.

I thought about trying out the blue cube adapter, but it seems the thing is discontinued everywhere.

Any chance the blue cube might work better?

As a side note, I have had no issues with using this keyboard for typing.  When my son tried to use it to play Sea of Thieves, he was complaining about lag.  Could this be caused by the adapter?
