Hi,
Has anybody any feedback that they could provide about using either a DAS or Filco keyboard with a USB KVM switch ?
I understand that there may have been some compatability issues with the original DAS and some KVM switches but these are supposed to have been resolved with the latest versions.
More specifically, I woud like to find out which combinations of keyboard and KVM are known to work and which do not work.
Thx

I use a Belkin F1U400. It's a 4X4 USB switch (4 peripherals to 4 PCs) rather than a KVM, but the point is it's a switch and I've never had any problems using my (early) DAS III on it.

Hmm, it's usually the KVM being of sub-optimal quality.
If the KVM was just a straight pass-through for input devices, there should be no problems. Once "features" start getting added, then issues can arise like bizarre polling, repeat key presses, let alone supporting NKRO.
I really haven't used USB KVMs that much (though I've known people who've had problems with them on typical rubber dome keyboards).
My advice would be to use PS/2 if possible (still potential problems though, just not as many of them).

A PS/2 KVM switch is an option as both the DAS and Filco keyboards can use PS/2, so adding to the question, any feedback on PS/2 KVM switches as well as USB.
