Title: Any way to use a terminal model M?
Post by: Dumbledas on Thu, 14 February 2019, 00:07:31
The long story short is I accedentaly purchased a 1395666 model M keyboard and a separate ps/2 cable. Its only come to my attention that terminal keyboards wont work with modern computers. Are there any cheap ($30-$40) ways to make it work with modern computers?

If not, any tips on selling them?

Look for "Soarer's converter". It should auto-detect which type of IBM protocol the keyboard is using.

You could get a $5 Arduino Pro Micro, solder it up with connectors (or inside the keyboard) and download the firmware (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=17458.0) to it, or you could buy a ready-made one on eBay for a bit more.

Orihalcon is a member here and will probably give you a discount if you order it direct.
