Hello you sexy people :D
I want to build an own 60% Keyboard ISO-DE format.
I selected the case, switches and keycaps. Now I need to decide for a Board. I dont want to code much so a tool for RGB and Keymapping would be cool. Like Easy AVR I found for the GH60. But I read that the GH60 is old and there are better one. Now I found this two:
GK64
PCB: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/KBDfans-new-arrival-GK64-pcb-RGB-60-64KEYS-HOT-SWAP-PCB-diy-mechanical-keyboard-hotswap-socket/32837229165.html
Plate: https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Alu-plate-dz60-plate-for-DIY-mechanical-keyboard/2230037_32827595666.html
Software: I dont know? :/
DZ60
PCB: https://kbdfans.cn/products/dz60-60-pcb
Plate: https://kbdfans.cn/products/dz60-cnc-aluminum-plate?variant=45599723981
Software: https://config.qmk.fm/#/dz60/LAYOUT_60_iso
I like the thing that the DZ60 can split the spacebar to have more keys. So I could add some extra keys bottom right. But if Im right that there is no RGB for the DZ60? The GK64 has RGB but how to set it up with some effects and keymapping?
Or should I use a different PCB with plate?
Thanks for reading :)

From my readings into boards lately the only major difference other than the keys is that the DZ60 has underglow RGB (I think it's 8 LEDs under the board). The GK64 has underkey (on top under each key). Other than that I think every thing you said is everything I have seen on google.
Personally I'm going with a DZ60, Gateron Blues, and currently looking for a nice case that will work well with my underglow. Otherwise I have to build a case. I was thinking about using my 3d printer...
Sorry for a late response, I just joined and was scrolling through and found your post.

GK64
- RGB
- Fully programmable trough software
- Stuck with a non standard layout left 2U shift. Harder to find key caps
- Non standard mounting holes. Need modifications to get it into a custom 60% case
DZ60
- More layout choices.
- QMK more powerful then software
- Underglow RGB
- Standard mounting holes
Here are the most common things about the 2 PCB's. If you are looking for more customization i would leave the GK64 alone and get a DZ60.
