Title: Creamios? (Cream stem on Healios housing)
Post by: Aerizu on Sun, 24 February 2019, 05:07:51

Switch: 63.5g Creamios (NovelKeys Cream switch stems on ZealPC Healios housings) lubed with Krytox 104 (springs) and 205 (stem, slider and leaf)
Caps: ePBT Heavy Industry
Case: Kira60, w/ aluminum plate

My first impression is that they feel smoother compared to lubed Cream switches and doesn't have that leathery-kind of feel to them.
It's probably not as smooth as Tealios, but definitely smoother than standard MX or Gateron linear offerings.
Cream stems are longer compared to Healios, thus hitting the bottom of the switch and making a somewhat high-pitched sound (and also reducing overall travel slightly) which kinda reminds me of Holy Pandas.

I think the sound would have been better if I used a thicker or different plate material (maybe brass would sound better).
But overall, I'm quite happy with them and plan to keep them on my Kira60.

What do you guys think?

I'm just wondering do those cream switches actually feel ... creamy? What's so cream about them?

It's just the color. But the slider and the housing are both made of POM normally its just the slider being made out of POM. People say its smooth but not smooth as Teals from what i have heard.

I think it's better to get some Teals. Also watch out for your springs they will deform because of the Khail stem being longer. My linear springs have like a kink giving it a weird tactile feedback when pressed in a normal MX housing.

It's probably my CPU fan you are hearing, but I'm not quite sure as I didn't notice it when I was recording this.

Oh, thanks for the heads up. I didn't know such thing could happen.
