Post by: tp4tissue on Wed, 06 March 2019, 17:15:44
So..

The fantastic beasts, movies..

They're kind of crummy right ?  am I the only one who thinks that ?

I mean, yea, they're made for young people, but, the harry movies weren't boring to this degree.

What aspect kept you in the seat.

I thought the CGI is great, obviously given that budget, BUHHHHH.. I felt like the plot was a bit floaty/ diluted.  And the main character isn't even part of the plot. he's just there doing animal stuff ?

I liked Fantastic Beasts.  I'm not a muggle but I've never been pulled towards the Harry Potter world either.

It partially reminded me of Barlowe's Guide to Extraterrestrials: Great Aliens from Science Fiction Literature.

However I was obviously primed at an early age (borrowed that book from the library several times before my teens) so I might be biased.
