Title: I drank the cool-aid
Post by: Odellwhy? on Tue, 12 March 2019, 22:54:43
I "built" an Intel nuc, mounted onto the back of an old Dell monitor and while looking for a keyboard on Amazon to get the thing running, I ended up with a magicforce 68 without much thought. The next thing I knew, I was consumed by the world of mechanical keyboards. I got to say I didn't see that one coming. It has been quite the departure from a life of swiping on an apple iphone and it feels fantastic to be productive. I feel like I have fallen in love with computing again.  Pic of my first rig. Fairly straightforward setup by this crowds standards. I'm a little hesitant to flash my dz60 with a qmk hex file but it won't be long I'm afraid. The key to the right of my Alt_R key doesn't do anything at the moment.

Update: I just flashed my DZ60 pcb with a new layout on linux. I used dfu and qmk toolbox. Hit me up if anybody needs help. What should have taken 30 seconds took me 2 days to figure out. Next stop: artisan keycap for my fn key.  CHoo Chooo
