This is your iLouiX_07, today I am going to launch an IC for my good buddy Thesiscamper.

We have not finalized details yet, we'll probably know more after the prototype has been made and we have an idea on pricing.
Personally i would love to see a velvet red option for the top. Is the accent piece going to be brass or can it be a anodized to some other color? also would it be possible to add half plate as an option? Looking forward to this!
We plan to make that accent in anodized aluminum and brass, PVD seems unlikely. I haven't made a half plate before, it's possible of course but not high on the priority list, sorry.

We don't have a prototype yet but I guess it's below 3KG for the case even with brass weight. I'm not great at estimating weight though.

It can be aluminum, or brass, or stainless steel. We haven't finalized anything yet. PVD is unlikely because the factory we're going to use doesn't offer it, we're looking at other options like outsourcing it but that would make it significantly more expensive I guess.

I’m finalizing the CAD according to yuktsi’s PCB design, I can say it’s done but I might change my mind on some things like what I did with the weight/bottom plate. The main concern now is finalizing the gasket mount, I haven’t done it before but it will be similar to Volcano and No2, strips sandwiching the plate between top and bottom parts.
Renders are so seducing.
When will the GB probably start?
After the Volcano GB fulfillment.

I think sandblasted brass pretty much looks good with every colour lol. Blue is my favorite, but that grey is a close second.
I think with all the wonderful sets coming out that have beautiful blue or blue/grey tones to them, the blue Primus could be a winner. Vote changed to blue too.
I think Mizu will look great with the blue. Striker as well.

1) We are going to order some more prototypes(It will be our Version 3 prototype, also it will be the final version) because we did some small changes.
2) Reduced tolerance on the plate, make it isolates with top/bottom case.
3) Reduced tolerance between bottom case and weight on the side.
4) Redo the gasket molds, previously we opened silicon molds but the final gasket is not that premium quality. So we are going to spend more for metal molds. The new gasket will have tape on the backside, so the user can apply it easier.
5) PCB delayed. So we haven't assembled our prototype Version 2.

1) We tried different hardness silicon rubber material: 70A and 50A.
2) the back tape changed from unbranded to 3M, quality has big improved.
3) We did a small gasket testing tool, the purpose is to find the best balance point, the theory behind:
Different gasket material has different compress performance
a)the harder the material, the small margin it can be compressed. in other words, we can give small space for the plate to move.
b)the softer the material, the larger the margin it can be compressed. we have to give more space for the plate to move.
so our isolated gasket structure needs to be changed according to the material we choose.
It took about 1 month plus for us to do all the R&D on it.
