GMK Brown on Beige

The inspiration for this set was the OG Cherry dyesub keycaps from the NCR G81-3077SAU, that had faded to a nice brown colour.

I sat at Geonworks with a GMK colour ring and his NCR G81-3077SAU comparing the two and we both came to the conclusion that CB and L9 more closely matches the NCR.

I originally planned to run 3K alphas since I really like the colour contrast but decided to go with the more original one instead.

Let me know in the IC form if you would like to see 3K alphas instead. Photo will be in the form.

Brown accents? Brown numrow? I'm in without it but I think there might be a few of us who would roll w a brown alert look on a beige board.

I love R0 and I'd buy a kit but I'm one of a very small subset of people.

Everyone who thinks the pricing is high should remember what MOQ 250 pricing used to look like. Base kits were more than this.

Very cool. Love the inspiration behind the project. As other people have said I do agree that 3K might be the best option to go here when it comes to the alphas, and maybe to fit with the theme more, replicate the keycaps on that NCR board as someone else said, if it is possible. I do think the price is a bit much for a beige set, so if it can be done I would love to see the price lowered down a bit or make it worth the price (such as maybe replicating the NCR Board keycaps, but that would probably make it more expensive if the price is already at 135).

+1 to matching legends to OG NCR, but it’s not a deal maker/breaker for me personally. 3K> too.

Maybe controversial take, but if it helps to get the price down skip the windowed keys. GMK's pad printing has been really bad lately, and I'm someone who loves windowed caps.

Very cool idea otherwise, I also prefer K3.
