Such joy and happy in the forum today ;D
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But thatís incorrect. Itís in HHKBís slogan, but when Americaís cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

OK, OK.  Let me have some coffee and we'll get some toys stars distributed.

I have to make a new one for 10K posts, but it is too early for either creative bit-slinging OR alliteration.  So Rowdy will have to wait a bit longer.

Perhaps more impressive than stars for post count, how about another symbol for years of membership?

Say a yellow smiley face for each year of membership.  A silver star for each 5 years of membership.  A black star for every 10 years (I know we are not there yet, but moving slowly towards it)(.

the maker gears are to recognize those who fabricate their own objects out of component pieces, engineer, tinker, or otherwise make things from scratch just because scratch is there. my intention was to recognize those that are going above and beyond in the communal mission to make this the best, most innovative piece of our little corner of the internet.

I want to have five stars because I am the president.

Shouldn't you have a windows flag?

That'll go next to my five stars.

Oh, sorry.  I should have pixelated a star for you. 16-bit or 256-bit?  Anti-aliasing is soooo this millennium.

I'd prefer one in a 256-color bitmap format for maximum compatibility across systems.

I would totally take a black star.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

Sorry, that was me.  I was handing out stars for the star thread and saw you didn't have one, so I gave you the highest-ranked one we have.

I don't think I have a yellow one, but you can have any of the other colors in OP #3 or no star at all.

Again, my apologies if I misread your desire,  What would you like me to do now?

I wasn't going to have a star at all, but black with orange outline sounds sweet :)

Pink star me please.
After a considerable 5 minute debate with myself. I have decided

I'm definitely:
ex∑quis∑ite
noun
1.
a man who is affectedly concerned with his clothes and appearance; a dandy.

Speaking of dandy. Space Dandy!
Space Dandy is a dandy guy, in space! This dreamy adventurer with a to-die-for pompadour travels across the galaxy in search of aliens no one has ever laid eyes on. Each new species he discovers earns him a hefty reward, but this dandy has to be quick on his feet because it's first come, first served!

I'm hangin' out here, but only admins can do stars. You should definitely PM one if it's taking awhile. Currently quite a few of them are moving or afk so that's adding some delays and a lack of thread monitorance.
