The Presidency Is Not Supposed To Be Entertainment !
If there's one thing the US electorial system teaches us, it's that EVERYTHING in the US is supposed to be entertainment :p .

I've come to view humanity as predominantly monkey business..

All this talk, now I just wanna see Schwarzenegger fight Trump.

Schwarzenegger is pretty flabby now..

It really comes down to who dies of a heart attack first..

We DO KNOW, that Schwarzeneggar is in that new Vegan documentary.. soooo.. my bet is still on Arnold

Uhhh he's not as swole as he once was, but "flabby" is hardly the word I would use.

No, it's a quality of life measure for men >30 I'd say. As you get older your testosterone production goes down, so people supplement it. Lower T can lead to all kinds of annoying things like depression, no sex drive, fat gain etc etc. Basically, something like bringing you back to your 20's test levels or somewhere around there. It'll shorten your life they say, but I say quality vs quantity :p

Also, any jacked older guy is most certainly on TRT or roids in general.

He's like a terrorist from a bad movie at this point. Holding America hostage over a tantrum, and now in talks of pulling the US out of NATO. Seriously? How he has anyone supporting him anymore I cannot understand. He's literally become a terrorist, the biggest threat to the United States is the guy running it. **** is even happening?

You know, at first I thought that him getting elected was just a one-time error. You know "oops, we ****ed up, you're right, he's a total moron, won't make the same mistake again." But no, despite everything, people are STILL supporting him, and in fact I wouldn't be surprised if he was re-elected. It's exactly the same thing that happened and is still going on with Brexit and supporters of Nigel Farage, Jacob Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson; the people are faced with these really really obvious lies, and despite how glaringly and patently false all the statements are, even factual deconstruction can't change their minds as they have some kind of blinder on that will make them accept and even attempt to explain away all this bull**** that these politicians keep spouting. It's both hilarious and extremely saddening at the same time.

Of course, all of this is easy to explain. When you engage either of these groups of people, it's blatantly clear that there's only one thing that they care about. You know, the one none of them dare to admit.

did we not all witness america elect 2 people who lost the popular vote ?

Your post mentioned PEOPLE,   as in, somehow PEOPLE have real influence in what happens in world affairs.

That is the same as sheep having a say in their fur and their slaughter.

Removing the general population from view,  the process is clear, SOME POWER has something to gain by whatever is in process,  and that is exactly what will happen.

Regardless of how the sheep feels about being cold and dead.

While I was waiting for the bus today that was running 40 minutes behind schedule due to the shutdown I was talking to a very nice elderly lady who hasn't been getting her food stamps for the past two weeks and was on her way back from the local DSHS offices to work it out, which were also closed due to the shutdown.

Today was way too real for me.

both sides

This is the most frightening attitude of all.

The differences are stark and huge, in every way.
In his book A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership, Comey wrote that working for Trump gave him “flashbacks to my earlier career as a prosecutor against the Mob. The silent circle of assent. The boss in complete control. The loyalty oaths. The us-versus-them worldview. The lying about all things, large and small, in service to some code of loyalty that put the organization above morality and above the truth.”

McCabe, who similarly had experience prosecuting Russian organized-crime rings, has observed that Mueller's approach to investigating Trump tracks how one would go about investigating a crime ring. "There are a lot of patterns in what Director Mueller is doing that are very familiar to me," McCabe told The Atlantic: "You can certainly look at what Mueller’s done so far to say he is doing exactly what we would do with the investigation of a cartel or an organized-crime family."

No they are not..

It does not matter who rules Kings Landing

KINGSHIP relies on the establishment of resource inequity.

The controller ALWAYS exploit the controlled, he's only human.  It doesn't matter who sits on the iron throne.

Whoever, sits in the seat gets fat, while his people starve, suffer, and die.

This is a human story and it repeats because evolution is SLOW..

Maybe not in every way but they are different in many ways. I think directly towards energy/climate issues, birth control, war on drugs/prison reform - all issues that affect at least millions of people that mark social divisions between the parties. Beyond that, they are different individuals and will approach international relationships differently. Trump's stately plan and actions were to recoup money from bad trade with friend or foe and has made historically little differentiation between the two. A proper level of diplomacy with Russia has been in place since the 90s. Through sanctions, we have reacted, in my opinion, fairly in response to the Kremlin's notorious political assassinations and military intervention in Ukraine, especially Crimea. With Hillary, it was worrisome that her threats to take back Crimea would devolve into the worst relations with Russia since the height of the western resistance to communism.

This is one of the things that Elrick had pointed out and that I was very hopeful for, is that Trump was naturally less in bed with the military industrial complex and would slow our war machine. We have removed Troops from Syria but at the same time, we've increased our defense spending. This year, the Pentagon is to have its largest adjusted base budget since WWII despite the military being near its smallest since WWII. I'm worried there will be a new National Security "threat" soon. Did you laugh at the "Space Force," in the same way you laughed when you heard he was running?

The War Machine is Everything.

There is no such thing as a Peace machine..

TRUE Peace exists only when Everyone's War Machine is at nearly equivalent power to ensure mutual destruction..

This is the way of all lifeforms at this stage of evolution.

There is a fundamental lapse when people try to categorize what the War Machine is..  the primary cause of silly pacifist theories.

Is a communication satellite a (war machine).
Is a new gene editing technique a (war machine).
Is a new super computer a (war machine).
Is a maglev train a (war machine).

In the public space, no.  But everything you learn from making these things is either FROM or could be TURNED INTO a weapon.

The War Machine is Omnipresent, and its advancement is what upholds all modern sovereignty.  What we choose to name our inventions is irrelevant next to their wide-utility.

Why was there no peace for Crimea, Because they didn't build their darn war machine.

There's been some talk of Taiwan and China going at it. I hope that doesn't happen.

It would be great to see Taiwan truly independent, but without support China would destroy them. And who wants to go to war with China right now?

Taiwan returning to China is most likely inevitable.

Overall, Tp4 am rootn' for Taiwan,  but it just doesn't seem very likely they'll succeed in the long term.

Look at it this way,  Why did Putin just plow through Crimea, even though it was clearly ILLEGAL, and Everyone said don't do it, and all them sanctions..

BECAUSE,  Putin CAN,  and Most importantly because there's NOTHING in Crimea thoroughly destroyed, which will impact Russia's economy.

Taiwan, However is very different, ATM it has TSMC, they are a major semiconductor supplier of all the gadgets that come out of China.

There is no easy replacement source if TSMC is destroyed..  Taiwan doesn't need weapons or any support,   AS LONG AS they can keep the technological lead in Semiconductor,  China will not make a move..

However, China continues to rev up its own semicon industry.

IF China reaches parity in terms of tech vs TSMC, (which is well possible within 20yrs time),

There is a high probability that the Successor of XJP will Roll Taiwan just like how Putin rolled Crimea.

Nothing can defend against this, the Taiwan population is too small to fight a war, and they're too far from the nearest (Support). Just like Crimea, everyone will shake their heads,  but not lift one finger to help..

And as far as international sanctions/support go,  everyone agrees Putin did wrong on paper, but I don't see anyone sending help to Crimea,  WHY ? because again, Crimea has NOTHING anyone else wants.

Then there is TSMC, let's say TSMC gets blown up.  What would be anyone's motivation for helping Taiwan,  Are they after Taiwan's discounted salted fish ?

Taiwan's only survival chance, is to maintain semicon lead..  IDK how they're going to do it,  but that's the only way to continue their semblance of independence.

It wouldn't make sense for China to destroy one of their major sources of spice. China is going to need that tech when their cotton takes over the moon.

Taiwan has 1 path,  Everyone study the hell out of quantum physics..  No more semiconductor lead, no more Taiwan.

I have read other conspiracy theories that Taiwan has already been taken over by soft power and their semicon products are used By China to spy on other nations.

--  This is plausible, because fundamentally, Taiwan KNOWS nothing can be done to save them by anyone else given their proximity to China if it came to war,  So they might as well put on the mask, and use that disdain to put in some espionage labor for China..

And as far as international sanctions/support go,  everyone agrees Putin did wrong on paper, but I don't see anyone sending help to Crimea,  WHY ? because again, Crimea has NOTHING anyone else wants.

Taiwan's only survival chance, is to maintain semicon lead..  IDK how they're going to do it,  but that's the only way to continue their semblance of independence.

It wouldn't make sense for China to destroy one of their major sources of spice. China is going to need that tech when their cotton takes over the moon.

Trump is the leader of the Trump Cult, pure and simple.

And, at this point, it encompasses pretty much the entire Republican Party in the US.

TRUMP, is a distraction..

The nobility is always up to some taboo..  With Trump in front,  no one sees the background..

Get out of the center, use your peripherals, there is so much bad going down, and the only thing the general population sees is Trump's clowning.

That said,  I still believe the Party actuated their intentions expertly, and that Trump is highly intelligent and a great actor.

Did Trump think that shutting down the federal government — which includes the FBI — would thwart the investigation of him?

Impeach him already! Current events should be reason enough. What the **** is wrong with you, USA?

Can we stop perpetuating this BS?  Trump is NOT highly intelligent based on pretty much any and all metrics, he is literally a moron who stumbled into the presidency.  People saying this just perpetuates the "4D chess" rhetoric which is insulting to both chess and residents of the 4th dimension.

He is a 3rd-rate con artist and the beneficiary of a decades-long propaganda campaign to de-educate and misinform the angry and susceptible.
In his book A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership, Comey wrote that working for Trump gave him “flashbacks to my earlier career as a prosecutor against the Mob. The silent circle of assent. Ha ha ha

On the surface, you wouldn't think there was anything wrong with electing an attention-craving, pathologically lying, woman-molesting, minority-detesting creep with zero public-service experience, zero people skills, and zero interest in anything but his own accumulation of wealth, power and gold-plated bathroom accessories. This is especially true if you don't give a flying fart about the US, and whether it careens into chaos because it's being lead by a belligerent 12-year-old who thinks he can throw tantrums to get anything he wants. I'm just saying.

Precisely why the Russian military has been working so diligently to elect Republicans for many years now.

Too burned out to even keep up with all the many ways this buffoon is wrecking this country every day. I've nicknamed him Chump for that reason. I don't read his Twitter or any of the other insane crap he says anymore. At least we don't have a President Pence.....yet....
Current drivers: Realforce 87U Variable Weight, Realforce 87U 55g, HHKB Pro 2 (lubed). Niz Plum EC87-S 35g once I mod it with some BKE Redux Ultra Light domes and lube the stabs. Big fan of electrostatic capacitive keyboards as you can tell. :)

Other keyboards I have: Magicforce 68 Cherry MX Brown, Magicforce 108 Gateron Reds w/ O-Rings, Havit Low-Profile Kailh Blue, Logitech K740 (scissor switches). Used to own a TKL Corsair Strafe w/ Cherry MX Red switches briefly.

Yeah, it's a loooooooooooot of keyboards. :P

YOU ARE WRONG IT'S ALL THE RUSSIANS' FAULT
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Can the people who support him at least be honest and just admit that they have no idea what his policies are and that even if they did they would care for them, but that the only reason they back him is because he's against Mexicans? :p

A bit like Brexiteers really don't ACTUALLY give a crap aboutany economical aspects (all of which are negative anyway) but just don't like Eastern Europeans and are willing to take a monetary loss for it?

I mean come on, if you're going to back a fascist at least have the guts to admit you are in fact a racist and that keeping out immigrants is your number one priority by far. You owe yourself and everybody else that much at least.

Besides, his two main election points - building a wall and throwing Hilary Clinton in jail - didn't exactly, you know, happen :p .
