Do you want to see split space bar compatibility on a TKL board?
« on: Mon, 20 November 2017, 04:23:17 »
Hi all,

I am currently starting to design a TKL pcb and was wandering do you want to see the option for split space bars on this board as well as a full space bar or not?  Please submit your answer through this from: https://goo.gl/forms/4CaS7NBImq3V8ZNt2

Why bother asking if people want it, just add it into the design. Doesnt take away from the board as far as i know, but just adds more options.

How many TKL cases are out there? I haven't seen many around. Or are you going to design one?

The real answer is a question: Why not?

BTW. Kbdfans split the spacebar in its DZ60.

TKL don't need that kind of split. (that's ok for 60%)

this is what I have in mind, though:

I have a quickfire tk and Ive  grown fond of the case since i sprayed it a beige plastic finish. I want to replace the pcb though so i can have split space and qmk. 6.5U of mostly unused  realestate right there at home position! Its like a single story house sitting on 2 acres of lawn in the inner city, and Im a filthy developer.

For my purposes a tkl needs a  numpad option too,cos I can have the arrows or numpad as the need arises and toggle it via qmk tricks.
