Transitioning from heavier back to lighter switches?

Anyone else find this annoying? I have been enjoying some T1's, now going back to gateron browns at work feels like
there is not enough resistance. Theres no snap to the key press. I guess I need to swap the switches on this board now.

I typically like heavier switches because they feel more interesting and they seem to make me type more accurately, but I've been using Outemu browns at work for the past few weeks, and I actually like it. I think it's lightened my touch a bit, so typing feels more like gliding over the keys. Overall, I just like change every once in a while, I guess.

I don't mind lighter switches as long as they have a lot of tactility to them. If they are purely linear, forget it. Otherwise, I do enjoy typing on heavier switches every once in a while.

Yeah after using heavier and more tactile switches, it makes browns feel almost linear.

Yes they are and do. They are smoother. I have the two side by side on a tester and it brings out the "scratchiness" of the MX switch that people like to complain about.

I've never thought MX browns felt scratchy, but then I've never tried a Gateron brown switch, either.  I'm currently typing on a Filco brown at work, and have a Topre Type Heaven at home.  Even going from the Type Heaven to the Filco is a little jarring at times.  The Filco feels much lighter, at least for a while, and it's so much noisier.  I've been afraid to try an MX clear keyboard since I've heard so many reports of them causing finger fatigue after a while.  I have a new Ducky One 2 on the way with MX Browns.  I'm curious to see if they feel any different than the switches on my old Filco since they were supposedly retooled recently.

I go back a lot from heavy to light switches from Yellow alps to Gateron Reds. I got kinda used to it and can type on both keyboards i just need to warm up for a few minutes. I think it's the best to spring swap every switch you get to one weight that's what i am going to do to kinda fix the problem. 50G springs for the win.

I never really did either, at least it never bothered me. You can feel it when you actuate the switch really slowly. But when typing i don't feel it. Seems to be overblown but I have seen plenty swearing off browns because of it.

Light switches are almost always a train wreck for me the first week after coming off of a heavier switch (Halo True with stock springs to Gateron black). Two or three days of primary use is usually the adjustment period for me.

Yeah I thought I would love greens but they were a bit much.

I do not like Cherry MX blacks. They feel a bit too stiff when pressed.

Hey, let us know in a new post, if possible. I have a Majestouch with pre-retooled Browns, and I am curious about the new Duckys, Leopolds, etc...
