Yes, Panc Co. ran GMK Taro R1 and a multitude of prior keyboard group-buys.

Hey all. So it has come to an end for now.

Let it not go unsaid that I appreciate the support of all those who entered the GB and joined us on the meme dream train.

As a post-mortem, there was some disconnect between how to lean into the meme-ness of it without appearing disingenuous. To that end, I apologize for any opportunities that were missed because of that.

Jokes aside, I thought it would be a fun set with which to adorn y’all’s keyboards, perhaps one day when everyone realizes that the price of a small volume set is what it is and not some sort of carpetbagging on the part of those running it, maybe it’ll be brought back to life.

In the meantime, my sincerest gratitude to Alex at Panc.co, Jae at Prototypist, Jerrold at Deskhero. Y’all believed in this set. Mad props.

And a special thanks to pwade3 for creating beautiful renders even though (and I will take this to my grave) the very idea of renders when you have samples is ridiculous. You’re a real one. Everyone, go watch Keyset Crimes on Twitch every Wednesday.

It seems like (for lack of a better term) the "general population" of mechanical keyboard fans aren't huge on the set. I personally am split on how to address this; should it just be ignored no matter what, or should we attempt to impart some "education" of keycap production? Unfortunately I tried to split the difference and failed on both counts. I blame myself for the set not making MOQ. Hopefully in the future, gaps can be bridged and the set can have live up to the potential that Taylor and I know it has.

Taylor will ultimately decide what happens next with the set, but please know that all of your kind words are welcome and appreciated.

It seems like every GMK set recently has massive delays and new QC issue popping up left and right. I just don't feel comfortable purchasing anything from GMK right now and I have already sold or canceled 6 GMK sets. If they can get their stuff together again and you run this set again in the future, I would be very interested in buying it then.

Wait.. The last time I checked you said that you would find a vendor in Asia. So, many people who filled in the Google forms were waiting for an announcement of an Asia proxy. Today, I just found out the set is on hold. This seems confusing... Maybe the problem happened when you cancelled orders in Google forms to use the vendors' sites instead, and many people just missed that.
