AZIO keyboards?
« on: Sun, 16 June 2019, 04:00:04 »
I know this has been discussed. It looks too good to be true for the price. I am sure Chinese. The layout and inverted keycaps may be awkward though.
I just had two questions: How is it to type on? What are the keycaps? I imagine ABS but lasered or DS?
Interestingly their Keyrest is similar to the one I built that I love. I have seen a rest nothing like it anywhere else. Mine is much nicer though IMO. I have pics here elsewhere.
Thanks

Post capitalist Chinese goods might surprise you (e.g. Magicforce 68).  MK-MAC-U01?  MGK1?  An AliExpress variant?  Those funky font legends are probably printed to the ABS.

I just wonder if they are lasered or DS. If DS I would certainly like this. The shape of the keycaps may not be easy to type on though. Don't know. I know China brings some very high quality inexpensive goods. I just meant that is why it is inexpensive not the quality. If that was made in Japan or USA it might be just as good quality but 3-4 times the price. I collect old Typewriters so I would like this. Doubt it displaces my custom Topre RGB though. It is my favorite board ever. It does indeed Thwack with GMK's.

Still have no idea what you're talking about.  Apparently there was an AZIO thing at CES.  Maybe that's it.

There are plenty of options to get better 'typewriter style' keycaps all over the interwebs.

That looks like a really nice keyboard though. I meant is the composition of the key caps "Double shot" or lasered font engraving. Double shot is much better. It does not matter to me if they are ABS. I like them shiny.

Hundreds of other GH users and I are well aware of the various keyboard specific abbreviations.  That hasn't been a problem since like 2017.

I'm still not sure what the point of posting is if you don't go into specifics of what model you're referring to--and I barely have the time needed just to make this post.

Sorry Bro. I mean do any one of the typewriter style ones have DS keycaps. If no one knows it is okay. I am sorry I wasted your time.

AZIO showed another retro-themed keyboard at Computex, which (in total disregard of Keebio) they called "Iris".
It takes its styling from older cameras.
