Help~this vintage Alps Taiwan made keyboard

guys, got this new vintage clicky keyboard by chance today.
cannot find much information, all i knew is probably ALPS T2 switch with AT..that's it.
anyone saw this before?
also whats the deal of the two cables?!ione AT and another is XT? for what? can i just use AT convert? :confused:
last,,,the cap is sort of rubber made skin, inside is plastic. how am gonna remove the yellow dirt... :confused: :confused: :confused:

The DIN plug is for the keyboard and the serial cable is for the pointing device. Mice, pads, etc, were serial connections in the old days.

This one looks like it predates Windows, so <1995.

so i figure the serial cable is for the tracing ball in the keyboard? and if i wanna use it i shall get another serial to USB cable also?

What an awesome find! I've never seen such a layout before.

If there is a label on the back side, it should have a FCC ID to be able to be sold in the US. The first three letters of the ID should identify the manufacturer, and the whole ID should be unique to the model. Keyboard collectors often publish the FCC ID of their items, so it could be a search term to find more info about it on the web.

I wonder if Windows or Linux still have support for serial-port mice ...
Most PC motherboards of mATX size and bigger still have a 9-pin serial port header (IDC-10) for a simple adaptor cable and I/O bracket. If your computer has such a header, that could also be an option.

yes dude.
forget to upload the foto.
it is GOGAPC-21, checked as per your guidance, it is the Taiwan Tai Hao Stuff in 1995, no more other info tho.

now i need to figure out how to remove the urgly "dirt" as the cap is sort of rubber feel...
