Hello from one keyboard enthusiast to another
« on: Wed, 25 September 2019, 23:16:29 »
I am NotYeMK. I am from Michigan, the driest spot for meet ups. I do really love keyboards and really love collecting mechanical switches. My main board is a HHKB style Tofu with Drop Holy Pandas and a set of GMK Laser with a Alien II escape key artisan by Eldritch keycaps. My cable is a Nintendo Switch charging cable. Was an avid membrane keyboard user, but once I got the taste of mechanical, there was no going back for me. I want to start doing some of my own creative keyboard content. I have a Youtube and a Mixer page to start it out. I got in this hobby through Reddit, and thought I should also join here, since this is where the good keyboard stuff happens and I can see it more often, such as group buys and ICs. I also am the main moderator of the Saidit mechanical keyboard community, which I am starting up there. I want to thank everyone for this live community, after I have fallen out of my past hobbies and couldn't find something to occupy myself. Please check me out and I will try to do my best to give a lot of good back to the community.

Welcome to GH OP! This is definitely one of the hotspots for ICs, GBs, & KB science threads so you are in the right place. Looking forward to the MKB content you are planning doing, I'm gonna check out your mixer & YT channels after I post this & subscribe. It always nice to see more people doing MKB related topics on places like that as it not only helps the community out, but also puts a few different viewpoints out there for people to better decide on whatever MKB thing is being discussed. Oh also if you are looking to learn more about MKBs I highly suggest checking out https://deskthority.net/ as that is the go to site for info on vintage MKBs & they have a very comprehensive wiki that covers just about everything from vintage boards/switches, all the way up to what we got today. There is also https://www.keebtalk.com/, which is my personal favorite MKB site because of the really awesome community (you never see people arguing or doing **** posting only over there, it's almost like the anti-internet because of how civil & how willing people there are to give/take constructive criticism) & the growing base of MKB science knowledge there.

Anyways hope to see you around here & the other sites. I'll be sure to tune in once you start getting content put up on your channels!
