Hi guys and gals.

As I mentioned in SirClickAlot's thread, I'm staging a little get together where we can compare keyboards and generally do some socializing.

I will be providing some drinks (beer and sodas) and I can fry you all some home-made falafel too - it's vegan, and as far as I know, it's halal and kosher too. Plus, it's damn tasty :)

Anyway,

If you are interested, please post here on this thread so I can make some estimate about the number of people that will attend.

No fixed date yet, but I propose ** see below **, from let's say 14:00 hours to about 18:00.  That's in slightly less than 3 weeks, in Utrecht, the Netherlands, about 10 minutes walking distance from Utrecht Central Station.

If you are interested in attending but can't make that date, please say so ASAP and we can see about moving the date.

I will be there (obviously) so see my signature for what will be there in any case. I've got a few AT->PS2 adapters and I think one or two PS2->USB ones. Plus a macbook and a desktop and a few netbooks. You may find it useful to bring a laptop and whatever converters you have in addition to interesting keyboards.

As for me, I'm really interested in trying some Cherry Blue/Brown and Topre boards.

RSVP.

I'm moving the meeting to Saturday, 28th of August because well, up till now the only one who was interested in attending couldn't make it before then.

This is also a reminder that I mentioned free beer in the invite!

Final reminder.

The meeting is coming Saturday, 28 August, at 14:00 hours till about 17:00 - 18:00, depending on how busy it gets.

Address is Busken Huetstraat 36, Utrecht. This is right next to the Vleutenseweg, about a 5 min walk from the central station if you take the "van Sijpesteijnkade" exit. I'm assuming you all know how to use google maps or GPS. There's likely free parking space in or near the street for those who want to come by car.

There will be some beers and falafel and some stuff like that. If you will be attending, please let me know (in this thread or via PM). I've had some maybes and one confirmed (? I think) attendant so far.

Take whatever you think would be interesting. The stuff that'll be there anyway is in my sig**. I'd like to see at least that Brown Cherry board you got a few weeks ago.

It'll be worth it just for the falafel. Really :)

** for anyone else: my HHKB Pro 2 has been at the tax/border  officers for the last 3 days. I'm not sure if I'll get it in before Saturday afternoon.

He will be/is. But I have no idea if he's going to show up.

Webwit did a hit and run over at OCN a couple of days ago.  Cracked me up.
Linky? Those threads on OCN are going a bit fast if you're not following them every day.

If WebWit shows up, I'd be very curious about what (if anything) he'd bring for the "show-and-tell" :)

Let's hope so. He should bring that datahand too. Oh - and whatever that touchpad/keyboard thing is that was bought by Apple; oh forget it, he's got too much stuff.

If he hauls the buckling beam in, the clicky fans can go home and weep.
If he brings the datahand with him, RSI sufferers better start counting their money.

If he brings more pictures, stop staring nervously at his collection.

Personally, I'm just looking for the one great keyboard. I just need one 'board that's good for coding and writing text.
