Linear Space Invaders and Krytox GPL 205 Grade 0
« on: Wed, 22 April 2020, 17:10:12 »
Is this grease suitable for linear space invaders (more precisely, black clicky without a clicker)? Not too thick and viscous? Leave without grease or use dry grease?

At the moment I realized that the main source of jam is the clicker himself. Clicker lubrication does not help. The best results are obtained by removing the clicker and lubricating the spring. But so far I have only one pretty thick grease from Ali.

Ok, I tried Krytox. Better than Ali lube, god for linear mod and way better for raw clicky.

So far I tried on several switches. I decided to lubricate without removing clickers. I’ll write when I grease all the letters and try out typing.

Unfortunately I encountered a big difference in the smoothness from switch to switch.
So I decided to pull out the clickers. It turned out pretty well.

Now I’m thinking where to find lighter springs for several buttons for games. As far as I know all the Invaders are pretty heavy.
My black clickys bottom out is like Gateron Yellows, but as shorter travel, start is like Cherry Blacks. Springs are 2x17,5mm (or, pretty tiny in Imperial unit).
