Should I use Loctite LB8104 lube to lube my Realforce?
« on: Fri, 03 April 2020, 17:31:03 »
Hi.

So I'm quite new to the whole "lubing-your-switches" game. I have seen that people primarily use Tribosys 3204 or Krytox 205g0. Just to see if it could be done cheaper, I bought some Loctite LB8104 lube. I BELIEVE to have found out, that I should use very miniscule amounts of it, in order for it not to make the switches stick. I have tested on some MX boards, but am a bit hesitant to go ahead with my Realforce, as it's quite the pricey keyboard, and I don't want to ruin my experience with it.

Except for that, do the Tribosys og Krytox have som "magical" properties, that makes them worth the steep prices?

Thanks in advance.

Krytox is worth it. I would rather not risk it.

Don't cheap out on lube i think 5ml 205g0 is like 12 bucks or something and is enough for like 500+ switches.
