Hey everyone, happy to join! Like many others here, I spend most of my hours of productivity and leisure in front of a keyboard. I'm a developer, I play games, and I make music. I like to travel and hike to get away from the screen, but then I always come back
. My interest in mechanical keyboards began when I tried a Leopold FC660C for the first time. I fell in love with the feel and the sound, and it's what I've been using for the past few years. I'm not looking to replace it, rather, I would like another option every once in a while and the opportunity to design and assemble my first board.
As for my preferences, I only know one thing for certain: I like the HHKB layout because of its small form factor and symmetry. Although I really like Topre, I'm not all that interested in getting another Topre board. I might pick up a Hybrid Type S someday, but right now I'm looking for something different. I like the look of the Rama M-60 seq-2, LSJ Ares, and many others. Other than the layout, I'm not really sure what I prefer. Visually, I like the shape and legends of a GMK set, but I like the thocky sound of SA. Maybe a nice KAT set could be something I'd like? As for linear, tactile, clicky... it just depends. I liked Holy Pandas when I tried them, but I also liked Hako Royal Clear, Tangerine, Box Navies, lots of things across the (heh..) board. Some weeks I like loud colors, on others I prefer more conservative styling with fun accents.
One of these days I'll actually jump on a group buy.
Thanks for reading!
