Holy Pandas v2 on Drop

I would like to try those out as never tried pandas - now Drop has those for sale, version 2, unlubed.
However I read some weird comments on those, that they still came lubes, some inconsistent feeling etc
Sounds dodgy as hell..

Do you think its safe to buy them?
I'm not a fan of tactile switches. I'm topre lover and like Tealios, which are a bit too light for me lately.
I read that Hako trues are kinds same as topre tactile profile, I was wondering if pandas are similar?

I was trying a Hako True in a tester just yesterday thinking that it did not resemble Topre any more than a load of other tactile switches. To me, a key part of Topre (55) is the quick collapse in force as the membrane buckles. Halo True has a very noticeable ramp up in force. It reminded me more of how I used to find MX Clears.

I suspect the "resembles Topre" part is more about the feel or the length of the bump, but the ramp up in force pretty much wrecked it for me. If I'd bought a load for a board, I would have been very disappointed.

I know that best way is to try yoruself, byt it is hard to judge by using one or two switches installed to know how its gonna feel to use whole keyboard filled with them.
I dont want to order full set to find out it doesnt feel right for me

I think that a switch tester might not tell if you will like a whole board full of identical switches, but they are probably useful telling you if you'll dislike the switches. i.e. the concept is probably good for filtering out a lot of options.

I know this doesn't help with the Pandas though, the minimum order quantity is pretty high.

Holy panda does not feel any bit like Topre

It is different

The travel is less ,   the tactile feel is more ,   more sharp . Does not live up to the $1 per switch price.   Topre is better. 

I like Topre tactile feeling. But integrated plate is annoying me

When does the tactile event start? Same as Halo true, 0.5mm? Basically from the moment you start pressing?

Could anyone post me one, so I could try it out?

Here you can see the tactile event of the Holy Panda. Yes, it does look at around 0.5 mm.

Looks like around 60g force to press, is that correct? I thought it would be more than Tealios which is 67g.

As a regular HHKB user, I was intrigued by what I read about the Halo Trues and ordered some from Drop to try in my first build.  We will see!

Yeah, as a topre lover, I want to try it out as well, then read that holy panda is made of halo true, and should have more subtel tactility, so should be bit closer to topre. I'm one step closer to press buy button on Drop for pandas. These would be my first switches that i would lube - apparently these are randomly pre-lubed, so re-lubing is advised.
