So I'm the only person that wonders if it's worth the bother of setting up a filter to change everything he posts to pure binary in the hope it makes more sense?

Windows 7 is the most reliable version of Windows ever.

I have a requirement for a keyboard that completely rules out the Model M.

Actually I can object to that... some of the things I want are so obscure and rare that no matter how many nets you throw, it would be impossible to get.
