Scared to be here!

Brand new here and basically brand new to the mech community. Been using a Compact for the past 5 months and I miss the hell out of my arrow and delete keys, upgrading to a 65!

Current mech: GMMK Compact 60% (Gateron Browns & T1)
On order:

• TOFU65 Custom mechanical keyboard DIY KIT
• ZealiosV2 67g

Reason why I am here: Started at Reddit r/mechanicalkeyboards and decided to expand my horizon. I also started spending more time on the computer, due to covid and working on my IT certificates. Which means even MORE time on the keyboard... so... why not get a quality keyboard!

NOW! Why I am scared to be here... the keyboards are nice, the keycaps are even nicer, but the price is dang scary! Hopefully I don't get addicted, that's why I am scared.

Welcome!

You picked a great upgrade for the money (even with the Zeal tax). Anodization quality is nice on the Tofu and Zealios are a nice step up from Gat browns.

I use Zilents v2 62g, which have a dampened version of the Zealios stem, on my daily driver, and they are really nice to type on.

As far as addictions go, keebs are by far one of the more pleasant ones to have. Keeping a strict budget is the best defense and a great skill in general to develop in life.
