Layout?
« on: Tue, 03 August 2010, 22:02:45 »
Is there a name for ANSI layout with a vertical enter key and slash to the left beside " rather than above enter?

ISO usually has the vertical enter, but in the case of the G80-8200 the rest of the board is ANSI except for these 2 keys.

I use \ alot when using unc paths at work (\\servername\sharename) and might give a vertical enter key another try, but I like @ and other symbols in standard ANSI locations.

IBM F :: IBM M :: Northgate :: Cherry G80 :: Realforce :: DAS 4

"We didn't want to make another PCB layout for the US market"?

But seriously, NAFAIK. It's not standard or anything.
Hardware in signatures clutters Google search results. There should be a field in the profile for that (again).

This message was probably typed on a vintage G80-3000 with blues. Double-shots, baby. :D

I would call that "104-key ISO" as opposed to the usual 105-key ISO.

Some countries don't need the extra key, but they still use the ISO layout, and so I have seen this layout in manuals showing the standard keyboard layouts for different countries.
