Working on the renders for this board with you was an absolute pleasure.

Obviously my bigger interests in keyboards are in keysets and artisans but this is one of the few boards in recent history to get me excited!

I'm struggling to understand all the praise this is getting. It seems to be just a one piece 60% being sold for $400, which is more expensive than the unikorn.

Thanks for the comment. I acknowledge that this board is on the pricy end for the following reasons:

1) This isn't my first GB, but it is my first keyboard GB. I am approaching cautiously with a brand new supplier, and I am using this round to test their quality and reliability. The direct reason for the price is in relation to only running 20 boards, meaning the individual unit cost to manufacture is significantly higher.

2) In order to incentivize people to join, I am offering to choose your own color, essentially allowing every participant to have their own 1-off colorway.

3) If all goes well, I'll run a larger future buy with fixed colors at a lower price.

We can kind of see under the edge of the GMK caps from a flat view , does that mean this will have pretty big gaps using pbt or other profiles ? I feel like the edges may need a mm or two higher..

Sorry to not clarify in the original post, I have corrected this. The pink and smoke gray photos are first prototypes, but I made the adjustment on the second prototype, shown below:

I covered this with my supplier and they did indeed confirm that it is cell cast plexiglass. I should probably update my GB post to include the Plexiglas® brand name. Here are the test results of their material from third party (SGS) if you'd like further details:

By way of a quick update, all parts have finished CNC and have moved on to the hand polishing stage. Once I start to see pics of the final parts before and after dye I will post here. PCBs and FR4 half plates have been ordered with a 2 week ETA.

Production is moving along and we look to be almost complete with the dying process.

All cakes have arrived and are in good order. I have begun invoicing and shipping out to the GB participants and will continue to do so over the next few days. Below are some pics of the boards I've checked so far, they really turned out amazing and the colors are bright and vibrant

A few reminders to the group buy participants:

1) The cases are all polished, dyed, and bead blasted by hand. As such, you may notice some extremely small micro-scratches or blemishes on the surface. Nothing I have seen so far I would consider requesting a remake from the manufacture. If anyone has an issue with a particular detail or discrepancy in the surface finish, please reach out to me and we can review together

2) Please remember that this board will only work with clip-in stabs!

3) Please remember this is a fixed 7U layout and will not work with 6.25U or ISO layouts
