how odd, I have never heard of such a thing.

Aren't they doing the same thing with hybrid cars now? ;)

It's weird. I first typed on it and I was confused because it wasn't clicking. But when I plugged it in...I was a changed man.

Shipping must be amazingly fast whereever you live. And here I am waiting for 2 ~ 4 weeks for a keyboard I bought in the States.

Very common on terminal keyboards. It was basically a cheap way of ripping off Typewriter/Beam Spring keys with linear switches...

That said, some IBM beam spring/buckling spring terminal keyboards had click solenoids...

Big surprise I received from a Wang 924 Black ALPS kbd, after making a connector cord, it was clicking so loud that I thought there was something wrong, until I found the speaker underneath. Turned speaker to lowest level, but still a little faint click. So linear switch keyboards do click but just not from the switches.
Often outspoken, please forgive any cause for offense.
Thank you all in GH for reading.

This thing also has double shots, eh sealcouch? If so, might be worth a mention in the auction listing.

According to Webwit, linear Alps are very much comparable to Brown Cherry switches,

And I'll second that. A Black ALPS board was my favorite board until I found my Filco with Cherry Browns.

I've seen a lot of those old green ALPS Zenith's on ebay over time. If you like a keyboard that's AT-compatible but looks like an XT, then this one's for you.
