Sejin SPR-8630 unusably stiff (got 5 of them)
« on: Thu, 15 July 2021, 14:18:04 »
Hi all,
I've got a hold of 5 SPR-8630 keyboards from ebay, they were barely used just a bit dirty.
So I removed all the keys put them in soapy water, dried them and put them back in place.
I then tried to play around with the boards and they all seemed very stiff, I can't seem to get a register from the keyboard unless I hit the keys hard.
Is there something that can't be done for this board to smooth out a bit?
I tried lubricating one keyboard keys' stems with some ptfe grease but it didn't do much maybe a bit more silent.
Should I use a different lubricant or something?
It drives me a bit mad that I have 5 almost unusable keyboards.
I thought this keyboard is highly regarded here and in the industrial market as well, can't be that bad.. :-X
