Razer Orbweaver with Hasu USB-to-USB Converter

I'm trying to use the Hasu USB-to-USB Controller Converter with the Razer Orbweaver to circumvent Razer's Synapse software:

I've used kaiibod before with the ergo dox but macro use is throwing me with the TMK and QMK editors available for the Hasu controller. Any suggestions?

Here's my breakdown:
HASU KEYBOARD COMMAND DEFAULT with Orbweaver attached (5x4 keypad):

Thumb directional toggle:
Away= up arrow
toward= down arrow
Up = left arrow
down= right arrow

Z.     x.      e.      O.       ‘ apostrophe

H.    J.    K.    L.    ; semicolon

Shift.    Alt.    B.    Command+Z.    Down arrow

DISCLAIMER:  I'm new, so this might be widely known or even a bad idea for some reason.

If you get a peripheral working on a Raspberry Pi device, you can set it to "keyboard passthrough" and use it just like a plug and play keyboard.  It could be a way to bypass manufacturer software.
