As for Airbus is not owned by the government.  As of 2005 Airbus is about 25% owned by French and Spanish governments.  It used to be a lot more.

So in other words I'm 75% right (Airbus is private) and you're 25% right (Airbus is government owned) ?

As to Airbus having an "unfair" advantage over Boeing, have you examined the EU case against the US and Boeing at all ? How many military aircraft does Airbus Military supply to the US forces ? Is there perhaps an unfair advantage to US-based companies there ?

"real" by whose definition? Even adam smith (father of capitalism, for all intents and purposes) supported breaking up monopolies and even supported taxing the rich at a higher tax rate than the poor.

Mine ... that's why the "real" was in quotes.

I was pointing out in my opinion that any government interference in the marketplace (to use the standard right-wing loony phrase) is not itself capitalism. It may be necessary or even desirable to make capitalism work safely, but it's government intervention - not "capitalism" nor "socialism".

There's no such thing as a mixed economy in the real world.  Or really, they're all mixed, and there's no such thing as a pure free economy.

Eh?

The standard term for an economy that mixes free markets with government intervention is "mixed economy". It's a standard economics term which you can redefine if you want, but it's easier going with the standard term.

Yes pretty much all economies are mixed.
