But Maximus is Cherry blue and I can get the same from TVS. Except Maximus seems to have low-profile keys, which may be interesting with mechanical switches. Personally, I would like a metal x-scissor with a buckling spring. Four tiny springs, one for each corner of a flat key, could also be funny to type on. Someone already make me a designer at Unicomp. Who cares 2 weeks ago I didn't know what a mechanical switch was. ;)

I didn't mean it seriously.. you probably didn't look at the price tag :)
DSI SMK-88 (Black cherry), TVS Gold, Kensington Expert Mouse, MS NEK 4000, MS NWM 6000

i hope you're utilizing Dragon Naturally Speaking

I just noticed version 11 is out. Claims to be more accurate out of the box. Might be a good time to try it since Amazon have it discounted.

I wish they wouldn't split it into home and premium versions though. Making an artificially crippled version so you can gouge anyone who buys the full version is a pretty offensive business model in my book. Especially when it's unclear in advance if the limitations are going to affect you. (Do I need "Ability to import/export custom word lists and user profiles"? I don't know for sure.)

In keeping with the subject, I've just done a heckload of bottoming out on a delayed project. There was just no typing so fast as I wanted without bottoming out (obviously there probably was--with more agile fingers, huh). Makes me wonder if I shouldn't keep a separate keyboard somewhere handy for the really rushed things, like when I want to put in a word at the blink of an eye.

Note, I'm completing the details for my TVS direct order. Convinced some friends and all, turns out I'll be ordering some 5 or 6, one of which in Devanagari actually. I so darn hope there's no VAT on shipment fees from non-VAT countries and/or TVS is shipping from a 14.5% VAT state in India (as opposed to a 0 one).
