I've never thought much about this; every SSD I've seen came with the correct ribbons. Looking closely, I see now that each manufacturer does something a little different.
I could be wrong, but I think you need to purchase the correct piece made by SanDisk for your particular SSD model.
You could always hack/mod/build your own ribbon/cable. It's nothing tricky, just a pile of parallel wires ... but the tiny size might make it difficult and ugly, especially squeezed between PCBs or in a portable device. The end connectors might be awful, especially if you've gotta do the full 80-pin.
Is there any chance the original SanDisk ribbon might still be in plugged into it's last home?
