[IC]Keygeek Sanglei switch
« on: Tue, 05 November 2024, 01:33:56 »
Hello,What we bring to you this time is the Sanglei switch jointly designed by xcjz and jkdk and manufactured by Keygeek.
XCJZ (Lucy Switch Designer) has a deep accumulation in switch design(He is also the most famous switch collector in the East).
This time, he still collaborated with jkdk to design and bring everyone this Sanglei switch
The Sanglei switch is manufactured by the recently popular Keygeek

On the Sanglei switch, we have made certain optimizations and improvements to the mold. For the stem mold, we have made the top of the stem sidewall smoother (red circle part) to achieve less top collision sound. At the bottom of the stem, we have used a spherical protrusion (yellow circle part) to achieve more concentrated sound. In terms of materials, we used POM material to enhance the smoothness effect.

At the bottom, we use PA12 material, so you can see its semi transparent effect, which also means you can directly observe the parts inside the switch. This feeling is really great! Moreover, the collision between PA12 material and POM material can also produce concentrated and pleasant sound.

To ensure the broadest reach for the switches, I will be collaborating with many vendors worldwide. This ensures that as many people can purchase this switch at the lowest possible shipping.
In order to enable more people to quickly obtain the switch without waiting for a long time, we will use inventory sales. As long as we confirm the vendor list, we can transport it to the local area.

Sales method:

I love recent Keygeek switches (got the Briny, MZ Y3 and Kyubi) and would like to test these but with a heavier spring, a 63.5g option would be nice :)

Silent Lucy are a personal favorite.  I wouldn't have chosen these materials for what you are trying to achieve, but you should have a lot more knowledge than me on the subject.  Interested to try them.  For US, I hope you can partner with a larger vendor like Divinikey, Novelkeys, or Cannonkeys.

Definitely sounds like an interesting switch. However, what's up with the cruciform mount on the stem? Those little nubs on the east/west sides of the mount makes it look like these could be cap breakers. Any info you can give us on why they are made like that & if they have been tried with GMK, KKB, or JTK cherry profile ABS caps?

Because this will make the combination of switches and keycaps more stable. Yes, we have tried almost all keycaps on the market and they will not have compatibility issues

These have become my favorite switches of everything I've tried.  The sound and feel are perfect once I do a spring-swap to bring them up to my desired weight.

The only change I'd make is that I wish they were available in an unlubed variant—they're not quite lubed to my standard and the factory lube job is a mess to try to lube over, so I'll have to go through the meticulous process of cleaning them out for any future boards I want to add them to.
