Filco Majestouch Tenkeyless - Solved
« on: Mon, 15 November 2010, 07:20:08 »
Hi all :)

Read a lot of posts on here, including the Mechanical Keyboard guide and decided to go with a Filco.
However my Filco Tenkeyless has a small gap under one of its corners when lying flat, and as a result it wobbles constantly whilst typing on it.
There is no wobble whilst using the standoffs, although I prefer not to use the standoffs as its apparently more 'ergonomic'. Is there any way to keep it perfectly flat? Thanks.

EDIT: Solved - My desk wasn't flat after all, removed the rocks propping it up and - everythings fine now. :)

It seems as if you may have already determined this but... have you confirmed that it's the 'board or your desk?  If it's the board, it might be that the rubber foot is a little thinner on one edge.  If that's the case and depending on where you got it, I would e-mail the store of purchase to see if they can send a replacement rubber foot.  Otherwise, you might want to try a piece of shelf liner between the desk and the 'board.

Thanks guys, itlnstln hit it on the nose - my desk wasn't flat after all. Tested it with another surface and it was fine, turns out I had 4 rocks under my desk, 1 under each corner, propping it up by about 30 mm. True story :p

Issue resolved.
