ISO keyboard with blue Cherries in Europe?
« on: Wed, 29 December 2010, 03:29:01 »
Hi everyone, I'm looking for a not-too-expensive keyboard with blue cherry switches. I need the ISO (UK, German, French, etc.) layout, with a numpad if possible. I've given up on Hungarian-labeled keys, so blank would be best but I could probably live with anything if it's cheap enough.
What are my options? I know about das and I know about the Filcos at keyboardco, is there anything else that's cheaper? It's really hard to tell if reasonably-priced gaming keyboards like the Adesso keyboard or the black widow come in ISO layout - it seems not. Navigating the websites of Asian retailers is also pretty daunting. Anyone have a lead on a reasonably-priced blank ISO keyboard with a numpad and blue cherries with not-exorbitant shipping to Hungary?

Geekhack's classifieds and ebay are probably my best bet at the moment, but I'd like to know if there is some mfgr/retailer I have missed.

Blackwidow will come as ISO if I understood right, just have to wait for it. Filcos are sickly expensive.

Cherry G80-series and other mechanicals should be relatively easy to find in ISO-layout.
So I should add something useless here yes? Ok, ok...

Hmmm, the BlackWidow is actually sold here by several retailers, but all the photos show US English layout. One lists it on preorder, maybe that will already be the Hungarian ISO layout? Perhaps I will put up with the horrid gamernerd looks if I can get a good keyboard at a somewhat reasonable price.
Cherry is a good tip too. The thing is, they are so damn huge and ugly... It would have to be really cheap to make me settle for a Cherry.

Try emailing retailers for which layout they use, some might just be using stock-photos.
