What switches are in a G80-1502 LQEDE?

Does anyone know what color switches are in this g80-1502 LQEDE keyboard?

It ends on German ebay today. If it has clear/brown switches I'll pull the trigger. I did some googling but came up short. The 'Q' makes me hopeful but I'm not convinced...

Basically, at least for the g80-3000, LSC means blues, LQC means clears and LPC means blacks, and it stands to reason that Cherry would use similar code systems for all its products.
The last two letters are the layout, i.e. yours, which is LQE-DE, is German.

The fact that the Cherry.de site mentions blacks may not mean much, they may have made this keyboard earlier with clears or it may have been a special order.

Blacks, that's too bad. I already have some of those (found an old kboard at work).  It's really true that you can't resist wanting to try them all.

My friend is obsessed with Cherry blues now. He will subsidize my next purchase in exchange for some of my blue stems. That's one positive thing for my wallet...

There is nothing in the product code that refers to the switch type being used (other than MX, MY, etc.).  However, a specific model number typically  uses only one variety of switch.

Well, but in case of the G80-3000, everyone seems to agree that
g80-3000LSCXX has blues
g80-3000LQCXX has clears
g80-3000LPCXX has blacks
... with XX denoting the layout/language and with no other difference between these models. Is that not true?

I guess what you mean is that there is no general system in the product code that would tell you what any keyboard uses at a glance, without knowing the code convention of that particular model family... which sucks pretty bad. I don't know how a company can come up with such a confusing and useless system. At that point, they might as well just number their keyboard models sequentially starting at 00000001.

That's how it evolved over the last 20-odd years, being extended whenever that seemed necessary. You usually won't get optimum results that way.
