The information is lacking for good reason.

I shipped mine off to someone, perhaps that person would like to do the honours?

In my opinion? Yeah. At least the large keys.

The switch feel isn't too bad, but I find it too "friction-ey" for my liking. Mighta just been my particular example though.

Everything to me always comes down to "how's it compare with buckling springs?"

To me, the travel felt approximately the same, maybe shorter, with tactile point in similar spot but less defined and quieter. Unlike BS where the travel is very smooth, sorta floating on air feeling, the Peerless that I had you could feel the entire travel in the key. Not good.

Large keys (on that particular example) bind easily even when pressed in such a way that no other key would bind on any other keyboard.

As the place where I work tossed a few out, I have several, and I added one to my collection recently as my first ISO-layout keyboard when I saw one at a thrift shop. I will need to try to exert myself to take a picture or two, although I think there are already pictures here, or at sites linked to from here, of the Fujitsu with keycaps removed.

They sound neat
But otherwise they're godawful pieces of trash.

IMHO problem is that the rubber dome is too stiff, and the spring is too light. You have to bottom the key out for the dome to collapse, which totally negates the whole point of a mechanical keybaord.

I have this other 'board with the same mechanism cept stiffer springs and lighter domes (it's an italian terminal deal, forget the name). Anyway, the dome collapses about 1/2 of the way down, much improved kitachi over the fujitsu.

So webwits + ripsters = Topre?

Sorry for the resurrection on this thread, but I have to say, I just got one of these in the mail today, and I find that I rather like it.

I don't have any of the issues that kishy described though, so maybe it is just a specific model issue?

I haven't checked the wiki yet about this, but I could probably add to it, if necessary. If nothing else, I can take pictures.

Not only have I several of those "coveted treasures", I'm actually foolish enough to admit to it on this forum. They're considered to have an unfortunate type of tactile response that is harmful instead of helpful.

I don't outright love mine, but I do have a certain respect for it.  In several ways, it is like a model M. Apart from the tactile part of the switch or the large key stabilization, the design is quite similar.  The weight of the keyboard, the removable keycaps (they're _almost_ compatible with a model m, in fact the model m ones loosely fit on the fujitsu), curved steel backplate, membrane switches, and the fact that the main key assembly 'floats' (ie. is not screwed down) between the upper and lower halves of the keyboard shell all seem borrowed from the M. There's even a ledge above the keys where you can rest your pen or other crap.

I'm actually  in the middle of turning mine into a steampunk esque board that maybe i'll finish before it becomes uncompatible with modern computers.

Oh, but yes, the large key stabilization is CRAP.  even after putting lithium grease on the stabilizing stem of the larger keys it was unbearable.

The more I play with it, the more I like it. I really need to go find my AT-PS/2 adapter so I can use it on my desktop.

Mine is branded "Lanier", but is a FKB4700, made in Malaysia. I seem to recall that someone (quadibloc, was that you?) mentioned that certain builds were preferable. I definitely don't notice any of the "friction", or issues with the larger keys and off center presses. The space bar feels INSANELY heavy, though.

Weirdest thing about mine? The 0 is to the left of the 1, rather than the right of the 9. I'm not sure if that's someone being silly, or if they actually send the proper codes. It's on my list of things to check.
