Tandberg TDV 2200 Keyboard
« on: Fri, 01 April 2011, 14:43:12 »
I got my hands on a TDV 2200 Keyboard this week (actually I've got two now).

Facts:
* linear switch (feels like MX Black)
* doubleshotted caps: proof

Here are some pictures (the colors of the key caps is most accurately depicted in the last one):

I wrote some more stuff on my blawg

Dude that board is sweet. I love the key cap style. So oldschool.
Currently own:
Das S Ultimate with Browns
Cherry G84-4100 with ML Linear switches
Memorex Telex with NMB Space Invaders
Leopold with Blues

I'm not sure exactly when these were made, but sometime during the early 80's. While this is an early version of the 2200 keyboards, there were earlier ones that only had green LEDs.

Here's another picture

Nice board. Fancy colors. Their later ones still kept the same retro-keycap-look, even till the early 2000s:

What a coincidence, I've just posted a thread about the QL with roughly the same keycaps design.

This is a great keyboard!  I love the keys. I think it has got the same switches as a keyboard which I found some months ago.

At least the key caps are the same. I post a picture later.

Oldschool?

These are futuristic year 2000 keycaps!

Typing feeling is really great on these caps.

PS: They match bath-eqippment colors from 25 to 35 years ago perfectly!!!

I completely agree.

Sixty has ruined my day , I'm now simply in love with the cherry ML keyboard he linked.

My credit card is already crying

I searched for Tandberg keyboards before I posted this thread, and I did find some geekhack posts about the 5010 board. I would love to own one of those!

You guys all came like a month too late. These were up on German eBay for around $5 each NIB. The seller had like 15 of them too. By now they all seem gone :(

Ahhh chucks.

If anyone wants to trade one of those for one of mine, I'm game.
