Made some switch try keys, what to look for?
« on: Tue, 05 April 2011, 07:29:01 »
I bought some MX keys, Blues, Browns and Clears off taobao. Now I am trying to see which one I like best, but it seems switch trying with individual keys might be a tad limited.

Is there a way to hold it, to mimick the feeling on the keyboard as close as possible?

Solder them to a piece of PCB.

That I'll have to wait for another week or two until the keypad from eBay arrives. Which kinda sucks

I like the idea... Make a full size keyboard using bunch of random keys to see which ones we like.

Ah... right, Topre did it already... It's called the Realforce variable :-)

B!tching aside. It could be a nice project for Cherry - Make a demo keyboard with all different switches groupled by
(letters, num pad, functions, alt-swich-ctrl, arrows).

You don't need to buy a keypad for that. Get a piece of pcb, or a sheet of metal and drill some holes.
