Problem with my Ducky..
« on: Thu, 28 April 2011, 21:20:52 »
Quick problem, my Ducky 9008 connects and immediately disconnects after 2 seconds. I'm using the usb cable; tried PS/2, still doesn't work. The BIOS doesn't detect it either.. Help!

Sounds like a faulty USB port or maybe faulty USB controller (Ducky)?

I have problems with portable HDDs too - sometimes it's just the USB cable.

So, try to single out the problems:
1. Faulty USB cable?
2. Faulty USB port on the computer?
3. If 1 and 2 does not work, then you might HAVE a faulty Ducky.

P.S. that's a photo of my friend who's a major lurker at OCN. Meme created with his permission (more or less). Been trying to get him into mechanicals with no luck.

Apparently he'd rather follow some OCN goofball who got up-repped a bazillion times for posting dpi-changing instructions that nearly bricked my friend's laptop :(

My new motto? Never trust an OCNer.

Unless its Ripster.
