Also I am not sure home much, if any difference it makes but I run linux.
Happy hacking it is then.
Don't have one ATM it is sitting in customs.
Get the CM Storm Quickfire Rapid like boost said in the first reply. Easily the best deal for now.
I've been using Model M's for almost 2 decades, but gaming on them is a bit of a chore. Will your primary use be gaming or typing? If it's the latter, you might consider a Model M off of eBay or a Unicomp and keep your old keyboard for gaming. Unicomp has their "Kentucky Wildcats" buckling spring keyboard for $60 in their "Bargain Rack." You can't beat that price for a brand-new BS keyboard, as long as you don't mind the look.
I play shooters and 3rd person action games mostly. Some DC Universe also Also I am not sure home much, if any difference it makes but I run linux.
I've got some G80-11900LUMEU for $25 each plus shipping. They are great starter boards since they are cheap and pcb mounted so you can swap out some stems to try out different switches.
