Signature images... how do they work?

I'm a bit of a noob to GH, but not to forums in general.  But, I can't figure out how to get images in my signature to save my life.  If I use BBcode tags, it shows as a URL.  If I use the upload signature image and then insert signature image buttons, it doesn't insert anything.  I can't find an insert image button for signatures like I can for this post.

Am I majorly missing something or is something broken?
