I just purchased a nice Omnikey keyboard from Ebay, however its keys are worn out and difficult to press.

I'm working with a member of the forum to purchase a bunch of blue ALPS keyswitches, however he might be out of stock. Does anyone here have an old keyboard with blue complicated ALPS keyswitches for sale? The brand doesn't matter as long as the keys are in good condition. If not, does anyone have a board of good-condition white complicated ALPS for sale? It would be a shame if I cannot resurrect this great keyboard!

I'll pull this ad down if I find a set.

If yours now are blues, you could get whites and put the not worn out parts, namely the spring and click leaf, maybe the slider too, into the blue switches. Because of how the advantage of the blues is the switchplate which would stay if you did this.

I really prefer clicky keyswitches, however I'll keep your offer in mind.

False Dmitry, the key switches on this keyboard are white I believe. Thanks for the suggestion though. I might end up purchasing a set of new whites if I cannot improve the feel of this keyboard by cleaning and lubing the keys. What type of lubricant should I use?

i just picked up a dead omnikey 101 that has white clicky alps. they all seem to be in good condition. i can't tell any of them apart.

they'd be the same price, $22 shipped.
