ps/2 to USB converter woes

HEllo guys. I have a question about ps/2 to USB converters.
I live in India and I recently ordered a TVS gold mechanical keyboard. Unfortunately, the board I got was a ps/2 instead of USB. I figured I'd just purchase a adapter instead of exchanging it for the USB version. I bought an el cheapo adapter (it had ps/2 ports for both mouse and keyboard). my laptop picked up the keyboard and it works fine for single key presses. But I can't use it to play for example an FPS since when I press W and the press E simultaneously, when I release E, my character stops moving.

I read about the Belkin USB to ps/2 converter. Does it too have the same hosting issues or does it work fine? Do I HAVE to replace the keyboard or is will the Belkin converter resolve this problem?

The Belkin fixed it for me vs the cheapo from Microcenter, you mileage could vary.
I can only speak for my experience as there are uncontrolled variables.

If you want I could sell you one of my belkin adapters, but you can probably find one locally faster, since I'm in the US.

Yes probably. Well, I'll try out the Belkin since its seems to be working for plenty of people. Maybe its an active adapter thing? From what I understand, the Belkin has circuitry to actually convert one interface to the other.

The converter I bought didn't even have a brand name on it. Only thing written was - made in china. Also, it looks pretty similar to one of the passive adapters shown on the clickykeyboards page about the blue cube.

Edit : Oh I found the adapter I bought on the wiki page. And yes, the wiki page describes the issues perfectly.
Its the one with : Vendor ID - 13ba
                                  Product ID - 0017

Yeah, I returned the one I got. I don't even know what it was anymore since I only had it long enough to know that I wanted to get rid of it.

Technically speaking, per thing the belkins I got were cheaper. It was $10-12 for the blue cube. The belkins for only 4 come out to about $7-8 (would be much better if 8 or more were gotten). Speaking of, I need to talk to that seller about his packaging. You'd think he was shipping a priceless vase or something; instead of these adapters that would be just fine with no packaging in a bubble mailer.

Then there's that gearhead one at fry's that is supposed to be just fine. I'd like to try it, since it hasn't made it to the wiki yet.

Depends on definition of perfect I suppose. I have no problems at all with the belkin, and I was only able to get the blue cube to do that thing once. So they seem pretty perfect to me. I suppose there is always room for improvement.

Haha. so blue cube and Belkin allow the input two or more keys to be recognized? Like no ghosting?
