New RK-9000 series coming
« on: Fri, 02 September 2011, 14:36:39 »
Well, I haven't seen this posted here yet, but new RK-9000's are coming!

http://www.guru3d.com/news/rosewill-releases-rk9000-series-mechanical-keyboards/

These might even be coming out the same factory as the Leopolds (vile rumor started here), but $10 cheaper.

It looks like MX Reds are getting easier to find now.

Rosewill is OEMed by Costar, IIRC (i.e. not Leopold).  For the Filco lovers, this a cheaper way to get a very similar 'board (even if the logo is ugly).

The detachable cable is a nice addition.

If the Reds are around $90, I might have to get one and find a use for it.

This will probably be my board of choice when I decide to get browns. Actually, I'll probably get Rosewill boards for all the major switches except blue. I wouldn't be surprised to see a black board come out of them within a year or so. Then we just wait until a major manufacturer throws out some clears, and I will have no money left at all.
Risen from the dead for a model F.

Wyse buy colors were GSY for the dark grey, GBA for the light grey, and BBI for the fonts.

When they're available, they will be in reds, browns, and blacks as well as blues.

I need a 104 brown for work, so this will definitely be the one I get, since it will be cheaper than a Leopold and w/ Costar stabilizers and detachable usb cable. Pretty much my perfect board.
