HHKB Lite 2 (Preferred Black, but White is also OK)
« on: Thu, 15 September 2011, 09:34:06 »
Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and also new to keyboards.
I didn't really pay too much attention on keyboards in the past, until I try on my friends Cherry G80-3000(white) blue switch recently. The feelings is fantastic!!!
Since I write programs quite a lot, I suddenly feel the urge to buy new keyboards and as my first keyboard, I ordered Razer BlackWidow (standard) for my first keyboard since I do not want to spend to much at the first time and also because I am just a college student.
However, my next target will be HHKB Pro2 since the layout and design is so attractive!! But that might not happen in at least 2 years.....sigh.....Therefore I would like to purchase a used Lite2 in a reasonable price and help me to get used to HHKB's layout before I can lay my hands on the Pro.

Is there anybody interested in selling his/her Lite? I am still a college student and I will consider reasonable price that's lower than price online (say Amazon).

Thank you so much for viewing this post!!

FYI: I live in US.

EDIT: Or you can send me and email at gavin(dot)lin(dot)asd(at)gmail(dot)com

The HHKB Lite is not a very well regarded keyboard in these parts. You're better off checking eBay, or something like that. I was watching one, but didn't bid on it, and it went for $27 shipped.
Risen from the dead for a model F.

Wyse buy colors were GSY for the dark grey, GBA for the light grey, and BBI for the fonts.

I have a white that's yours for shipping only.

The caveat is that I'm in Canada, so shipping may be costly, up to you.

Yeah, actually I was checking on that one too..but I didn't check the price for the final minutes, and I am overbid then...sigh.. I am looking for a portable keyboard that has the same layout as HHKB (control key or esc key) with a reasonable price. I will then decide on whether I should get myself a Pro 2.. Do you have any suggestions? ( I don't care if it's RD or not) Thanks.

You might want to consider this option.
Links to articles in geekhack are not so reliable so open up your favourite search engine and search for this
'Turn ANY Keyboard into a HHKB2 geekhack'

This will give you an AutoHotKey script to give you the HHKB2 layout on any keyboard you choose.
Cheaper than buying a keyboard just to have the layout.

BTW the Lite2 layout is not exactly the same as the HHKB2 anyway so it is not a perfect way to learn the layout anyway.

You could also get a Noppoo if you are looking at size as the determinate factor; they are pretty nice boards with good prices and every switch time... and now they come in white which is pretty tasty.
I like my Browns more than my Blues.
