hey guys, for those that dont know, i work for CM in the R&D center in Taipei
If you got any suggestions or complaints, please shoot me a pm

Bravo to CM for fully going into this market.
I lol at the posts on OCN: Doesn't have numpad and too small, therefore do not want
thanks! we are brand new in the KB space so... if you got any suggestions let me know!
![Cheesy :D](https://cdn.geekhack.org/Smileys/solosmileys/cheesy.gif)
and yeah, what can you do, theres a lot of feedback like that... the interwebs, what can you do...

new topic about pie: first post "i dont like pie"

It has the same nice stabilizer as the TT Meka G1.
If it didn't have that ugly logo on the case and cheap flimsy look I would not hesitate to buy it.
Oh regarding the gold plated USB, it is just another gaming company scam.
really, you like those stabilizers?
for the spacebar, they feel better, on that i agree, but other keys like shift n enter n backspace... i prefer the dummy cherry switch balance keys there...
they feel better, more solid, stable, AND you can remove the keycap and clean the keyboard, with the balance keys we use now on quickfire you cant do this, its really tricky and you might break the balance thing if you dont know what youre doing
Tbh, i actually removed the balance from my backspace and enter keys cause it feels better to me...
sure the keys twist a little and you can push them down hitting them only on the far end, but who does that anyways?
![Cheesy :D](https://cdn.geekhack.org/Smileys/solosmileys/cheesy.gif)
why SCAM about the gold plating? i dont think it makes any difference functionally, but hey, it looks nice... *shrug*
cheap flimsy look? what do you mean?
the only thing i thought looks flimsy is the legs, but our engineers smiled and dared me to break them, i put my hands on it with my full body weight (90KG) and they didnt bend or break...
I was surprised as well, they are really sturdy!
The TKL looks like it has been massively improved in terms of design compared to the monstrosity of a fullsized board I saw on here a month ago. I wish they'd be a bit less liberal with the logos and the ugly blackwiddow style font though.
glad you like it
![Smiley :)](https://cdn.geekhack.org/Smileys/solosmileys/smiley.gif)
about the font... well thats the awesomeness of cherry switches, you can use any keycaps you want

But does it ping?
according to another thread where somebody bought one from PCHOME it doesnt...
im still not 100% sure what this "ping" sound is 0_o lol
![Cheesy :D](https://cdn.geekhack.org/Smileys/solosmileys/cheesy.gif)
ive watched the videos ripster linked me to, but it sounds like any normal keyboard to me... guess im too much of a keyboard noob still hah
![Cheesy :D](https://cdn.geekhack.org/Smileys/solosmileys/cheesy.gif)
bear with me, im trying to learn!
![Smiley :)](https://cdn.geekhack.org/Smileys/solosmileys/smiley.gif)
The case of the Filco, Leopold, Steelseries appears to be better built than this one.
Just check the foldable legs etc.
its built by the same fab as filcos
![Wink ;)](https://cdn.geekhack.org/Smileys/solosmileys/wink.gif)
actually i think its a modified costar reference design, which is what filco uses as well
Looks nearly identical to a filco case. Plastics used and all. Obviously different design with detachable usb, probably horrible keycaps, etc. , but definetly comparable in terms of build quality. Which must answer kl's question. Ping!
it is
![Cheesy :D](https://cdn.geekhack.org/Smileys/solosmileys/cheesy.gif)
keycaps are very similar to filco...
Our engineers asked me for feedback about this early on actually
ours are also ABS, but mixed with some other stuff to make them laser printable
The filco keys i tried use some sort of ink that wears off and changes color after a while, so i recommended them to go for another set of samples i had here, the keycaps we use now
I know you guys love PBT... so i already suggested them to use PBT in the future
![Smiley :)](https://cdn.geekhack.org/Smileys/solosmileys/smiley.gif)
Oh and for those that asked, we just got our first batch of rubber feet for the Keyboards, so our next keyboards will have stand-offs with rubber at the bottom of the feet
![Smiley :)](https://cdn.geekhack.org/Smileys/solosmileys/smiley.gif)
))
Ill ask if we can phase them in for future batches of the QuickFire series as well!
Note the Filco/Rosewill/Ducky/Leopold plate design with curled lips in front/back and only the switches as attachment points. Pretty standard.

Should ping the same too. Unless they skimped on the Hanzo steel.
I still dont get what ping is 0_o
![Cheesy :D](https://cdn.geekhack.org/Smileys/solosmileys/cheesy.gif)
but if you tell me how we can avoid it and ill pass it on to our engineers
![Cheesy :D](https://cdn.geekhack.org/Smileys/solosmileys/cheesy.gif)
270 Euros?
LOL wutt? where?
![Cheesy :D](https://cdn.geekhack.org/Smileys/solosmileys/cheesy.gif)
Looks cheaply made so hopefully we can finally get affordable tenkeyless iso keyboards in my country instead of paying 200$ for filcos
mhhh why all the cheaply made comments?
could it be cause the body is silver/aluminum painted instead of black?
Wouldn't look bad if you can throw a blank set of keycaps on there (including space bar). Otherwise the legends are unbearable. The two case logos I could deal with, and I like the case color.
sure, np for you and other kb pros, but for end users im not too sure... the balance strings are easy to mess up if you dont know how they work and hook in etc...
but i suppose theres a good guide for this here on GH?
Just me or does it seems like the buttons have larger space between them then some other keyboards?
standard sizing... i recommended our engineers, not to try and reinvent the wheel
![Wink ;)](https://cdn.geekhack.org/Smileys/solosmileys/wink.gif)
im not a fan of how razer moved the keys around on the BW/BWU... standard layout ftw!
![Tongue :P](https://cdn.geekhack.org/Smileys/solosmileys/tongue.gif)
this keyboard is an uglyyy rip off ![Smiley :)](https://cdn.geekhack.org/Smileys/solosmileys/smiley.gif)
how can a reference design based product be a rip off?
![Cheesy :D](https://cdn.geekhack.org/Smileys/solosmileys/cheesy.gif)
costar owns the reference design, not one of their customers...
the difference between the reference design and qfp are:
- custom keycaps with laser printing for better durability
- custom keycap font (question of personal preference)
- LEDs for some keys
- Windows lock key
- Multimedia keys via FN+F keys
- Braided USB cable
- tweaked key balance
- rubber coating on kb body
- bundled replacement CM and WASD keycaps
- red metal plate for red switch version
and hey, it costs the same or less than other products based on the same reference design...
well, haters gonna hate...
![Cheesy :D](https://cdn.geekhack.org/Smileys/solosmileys/cheesy.gif)
still, im trying to stay as open to suggestions as i can, so let me know...
just please try to be polite and realistic
