at least for those actually reading this, walking by an empty Dumpster and finding a perfect Cherry black doubleshot numpad enter, with the MY stabilizer still attached.

Yes, that actually happened to me today.  It's in my pocket now.  (hey, you never know when you will need one etc.)
Filco Majestouch-2 with Cherry Corp. doubleshot keys - Leopold Tenkeyless Tactile Force with Wyse doubleshots - Silicon Graphics 9500900 - WASD V1 - IBM Model M 52G9658 - Noppoo Choc Pro with Cherry lasered PBT keycaps - Wyse 900866-01 - Cherry G80-8200LPBUS/07 - Dell AT101W - several Cherry G81s (future doubleshot donors) (order of current preference) (dang I have too many keyboards, I really only need two)

I think the sadness is on the assumption that it was just emptied, and the entire set may have been in there.

Exactly...  apparently Cherry MY boards are packaged with some industrial PCs that we run into occasionally at work.  So someone probably didn't like the keyboard (shocker) replaced it with a crappy rubber dome (which likely does feel better) and tossed it in the Dumpster...
