What are my choices for backlit cherry blues?
« on: Fri, 11 November 2011, 20:33:41 »
Is it just the Xarmor u9bl?
Seems like it will be hard to get ahold of an xarmor as there doesn't seem to be any of the backlit in the USA and ergogeek is out of stock

Is this my only choice with the cherry blues? or maybe the cherry brown would be ok but I really like the blue.

There's the Deck Legend and the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate.

Backlit ones that don't have Blues are the Ducky DK-9008 Shine (Blacks) and the Mionix Zibal 60 (also Blacks).

Oh. Derp.

Anyway, it's recommended to stay away from the Razer, their QC is questionable.

You can get the Ducky Shine in Red, Brown, Blue & Black switches at the moment on Qtans site http://www.vendio.com/stores/E-sports-Gaming-equipments/item/mechanical-keyboard-ducky/new-ducky-shining-pre-order-ar/lid=19244191

Quality of the Shine is very close to my Filco and probably the best option when investing into a backlit mechanical at the moment.  It will be more expensive than the others, but it's worth it if you want a solid keyboard and can't wait until OCN gets their models in later.

Filco quality and layout would be ideal. I am sorry I didn't buy two filcos when I got mine but they were expensive.
OCN .. is there a link to anything about the future KB with back light?

That ducky shine looks good so far.

Any idea when the OCN models will be in or if the quality will be good? I checked out the link to the shine and it would come out to around 180 for the kb with shipping. I was hoping to keep it under a buck fifty.

Tator (he's working with tank guys) said yesterday they were on their way to tankguys.com. So, it shouldn't be long.
