Some of the other ones are like 'that isn't old enough to be a good vintage'

A few even specifically mentioned the model M, and one guy was like 'I'd still use one if I had one, but I'd paint it because beige is terrible'

I am amused since I am typing this on a painted and dyed space invader board. It really does make them look far more modern, and even unique. But this one is pretty close to just looking legendless if it's dark enough.

A total blank keyboard = hard core typist + hard core gamer + hard core accountant + hard core geek.

Just putting a label on someone who don't know who he is and need peer approval.

Where's that picture of that ALPS board where the person wore through the doubleshot keys on it? I believe I remember reading it was for a medical transcriber. Crazy stuff.

As far as changing the keycaps to blanks: Is that even a much board? Wouldn't it be easier to just scrape the pad off? I would expect the S key to have a little less wear.

im afraid of having blank keys.  Though, im a touch typist with probably a 70'ish apm typing skill, i'm afraid i might forget my secondary keys near the far right side of my keyboard.

Well, TBH I didn't do it on purpose. I tried something which didn't work at all and the color was absolutely horrendous (I tried to mix two liquid colors, it turns out overall don't try liquid at all. Mixing with powder may work, I haven't tried it). There is no such thing as buying a new set of space invader keys, so I just got a darker version of what I was after and did it with that just so it would be usable. You can see the lettering if it's direct sunshine to the window, but that's pretty much it. So it (and the other one since I did two sets at once, won't do that again either) is just part of the rotation now. It's really not that bad, and I find myself knowing, say, the shift number row stuff more and more because you have to just hit stuff until you find it.
